Tips for a Healthy Thanksgiving
So many wonderful people from all over the country have chosen to rent one of our luxurious Orlando Vacation Home Rentals on this National Holiday to be with friends and family. Everyone will agree that Thanksgiving is filled with lots of Turkey, stuffing, pies and side dishes that can tempt us all to over eat. Instead of overindulging this year, take a few preventative measures:
1.) Eat a decent breakfast and lunch, yes even on Thanksgiving.
2.) Drink your H2O! Water will help in many aspects, help you in digestion and keep you from over eating but most importantly keeps you hydrated.
3.) Take your time! Enjoy your food- I know this can be difficult especially if you have been watching the turkey come in and out of the oven all day.
4.) Eat your Cranberries! Those little red berries are loaded with some of the most powerful antioxidants. They can help in preventing bacteria from forming while lowering cholesterol, protecting against some cancers and help prevent cavities.
5.) Eat your veggies, Yes just like your Mother said they are good for you!
6.) Eat more white meat than the dark and try to keep your skin consumption to a minimum. Be sparing on the gravy, a little can go a long way.
7.) Take a break- Wait 15 minutes before going back for seconds. This will help prevent you from over eating.
