Celebrate 2012 in Orlando!
Have you already been to all of the Disney parks but still need a fun way to ring in the New Year? Florida Spirit Vacation Homes has a few ideas on how you can celebrate the start of 2012 in the Orlando area.
Kick off the New Year with live entertainment, gourmet cuisine and one of the biggest celebrations in Orlando! This year, Rock in the New Year at Universal’s CityWalk is the place to be at midnight. When you purchase admission to Rock in the New Year, you can party from 8pm until 2am all throughout CityWalk. The main attractions this year include live concerts by Smash Mouth and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.

You won’t have to worry about eating beforehand because there will be all-you-can-eat gourmet cuisine including filet mignon, jumbo shrimp, decadent desserts and more to enjoy all night long! You will also have free admission to seven different clubs in CityWalk with live entertainment all night. At midnight, everyone will celebrate the New Year together with a champagne toast and confetti burst. If you are looking for the biggest party to end 2011 and welcome 2012, don’t miss Rock in the New Year!
To attend Universal’s Rock in the New Year, you must be 21 years of age and a special admission purchase is required.
If you need a kid-friendly New Year’s celebration the whole family can enjoy, SeaWorld Orlando is hosting a huge party complete with fireworks and music! Your family can dance and celebrate with the live DJ as the countdown to 2012 begins at The Waterfront. At midnight, witness the Orlando sky radiate with a spectacular fireworks show that is sure to light up the night! The Waterfront also offers shopping, dining and entertainment venues. At SeaWorld’s New Year’s event, bring in 2012 with family, friends, and all your favorite sea creatures!
Old Town in Kissimmee features dining, entertainment and shopping with a decidedly retro vibe. There’s even an arcade and midway rides for the kids, just like ‘way back when!’ If you remember what it was like ‘way back when,’ or just wish you did, the cover band “Reunion” takes the stage at 7PM on New Year’s Eve, and the Friday Nite Cruise cars are on display after 5:00 pm. Even though you’ll be ringing in a New Year in ‘Old Town’ style, everyone in the family will have tons of fun!
Everyone at Florida Spirit wishes all of you a very happy and exciting New Year!
