An Orlando-area vacation in October is a great idea! By October, the more extreme heat of summer has begun to give way to slightly cooler and more comfortable temperatures. In Central Florida terms, this translates into perfect vacation weather, with temperatures still warm enough for swimmers and sun-worshipers, and lower humidity and precipitation than in summer months.
